The Laws of the Witchwood Racers
Welcome to the Witchwood Racers
Ah, good. You've made it. So, you wish to become a racer, do you? It's not easy work, and it's not an easy game to play. But I'm sure you've heard that lecture at least a thousand other times, and I'm not hear to tell you what you can and can't do. Well, with your life at least. I will, however, tell you a few rules of our game so you don't go and get yourself stuck in a hole you can't dig yourself out of. Please, try not do anything stupid, alright? It's just not... functional... in this atmosphere. No one minds a good laugh, but please keep in mind that safety of both yourself and the animals is priority. This isn't exactly machinery we're talking about, after all.
~ First things first, no weapons are allowed to be on the riders while racing. ALL weapons will be confiscated by staff before each race from each rider. You use a weapon on another rider? You're disqualified. No killing, especially. Staff might be forced to ban you for life should you kill a competitor. Try not to be that big of a sore loser, please. Sore losers are frowned upon at the facility. ~
~ Secondly, although just as important, take care of your mount. All racers must have their own horse, and, despite common standard, it doesn't have to be of a certain breed, but regardless of the type of your horse, it is your baby and is to be treated as such. No one blows 15 large on their baby only to trash said baby, not... that many of you... would understand that reference... Eh-hem... Regardless. Point is? Take. care. of. your baby. Staff reserves the right to refuse your entry if your mount is not properly taken care of, and this right will be practiced. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. ~
~ All entries must be submitted to race overseers, which includes myself, Alex, and Nastia, alright? This rule includes challenge races. Staff needs to know who is running and what the stakes are, even if you and a friend are sparring for fun and no winnings. It's kind of important that we know when to clear the track. I'm not in the business of letting people get run over. Unnecessary bloodshed is, again, frowned upon. We're racing, not murdering. Plus, I'm rather certain you like your current home much better than Ravenscar, and my bad side is not a side to be on. Just play nice and play fair and everything else will fall into place, understood? ~
~ Races can happen between almost any number of riders. Two is the minimum, of course, and will only be accepted as the minimum for challenge and sparring races. Three is the minimum amount of riders for any other type of race concerning prizes. And, of course, we cannot accept any more racers than will fit on the track. We need to be fair enough to give everyone a chance. Otherwise it's not actually a race. ~
